The Offices of Career Services held a mini career day and exhibition on the 18th of November 2021 at the University Auditorium and graduation square at the Thika Road Campus. The aim of the mini career fair and exhibition was to provide networking opportunities for students, give them guidance in their career paths and meet potential employers. We had 7 companies in attendance. These included Eagle HR Consultants, Aurum Consultants’, Peoplelink Consultants, Samchi Group, Postal Corporation of Kenya, Light of the World International and Sinapis Group. The students also got mentorship talks from invited HR Professionals. The Invited guests were: Mrs. Nancy Mathenge (Manager Training and Performance Postal Corporation of Kenya), Ms. Zipporah Kuria (Managing Director Aurum Consultants), Ms. Rosemary Wambui (Human Resource Manager Samchi Group), Ms Goretti Kimani (CEO Peoplelink Consultants), Mr. Patrick Mutisya (CEO Eagle HR Consultants) and Ms. Jane Annette (Programs Coordinator Sinapis Group).
Through the Career Fair the students were able to build networks, interact with company representatives, learn more about their industry and corporate culture and find out about different attachment, internship and job opportunities.
